Network Switching Subsystem (NSS)

Network Switching Subsystem (NSS) is a component of the GSM system which made the call switching and mobility management functions for mobile roaming in the network base stations. By use the component allows a mobile device to communicate with each other and in the wider telephone. NSS can communicate a MSC to other MSC and built a good connection, so that communication networks are built starting from the mobile equipment can occur.

Mobile Switching Center or MSC, is a central network elements in a GSM network. MSC has a very important purpose as the core of the cellular network, which MSC is contribute to interconnection talks connection, both among mobile phones with mobile phones and PSTN as well as with wire.

Home Location Register or HLR is a database component that serves to store all data and information about customers to be permanently stored.

Visitor Location Register or VLR, is a database that serves the customer to store data and inform while during process of the call connection.

Authentication Center or AUC, is a component that serves to detect the validity of customer data so as to detect unauthorized calls, may be canceled. AUC serves to deviate the customer data is examined.

Registration atau EIR Equipment Identity, is the component that contains data customers.
